Safe use of low voltage switches

 

1. Safety precautions for the installation and use of the knife switch are as follows:

 

1) The knife switch should be mounted vertically on the switch board with the static contacts on top. When wiring, the static contact is connected to the power supply, and the moving contact is connected to the load.

 

2) When the knife switch is closed, it should ensure that the three phases are closed at the same time, and the contact is good; when the switch is opened, the three phases should be disconnected at the same time, and the certain insulation distance is guaranteed to be disconnected.

 

3) The knife switch without arc extinguishing cover is generally not allowed to break and close the load with high power to avoid burning the knife switch.

 

1) The porcelain bottom cover knife switch should be installed vertically, the handle is closed upwards, and it cannot be flipped and mounted.

 

2) When wiring, connect the power supply to the incoming terminal block above the switch and the load to the lower outlet. When such a knife is pulled apart, an electric shock accident will not occur when the fuse is replaced. When wiring, tighten the screws and minimize the contact resistance to avoid overheating.

 

3) Install the blade and the clamp seat in close contact, and the clamp seat is under sufficient pressure. The blade and the holder cannot be twisted.

 

4) The fuse must be replaced with the knife open. The replaced fuse should be the same size as the original fuse.

 

3. The precautions for installation and use of the enclosed load switch are as follows:

 

1) Closed load switch should be installed vertically. The general installation height is 1.3 to 1.5 m from the ground.

 

2) The enclosed load switch housing should be grounded or connected to zero reliably.

 

3) Enclosed load switch inlet and outlet holes must have insulating gaskets.

 

4. The precautions for the installation of the transfer switch are as follows:

 

1) When the transfer switch is installed, keep the handle in the horizontal rotation position.

 

2) Due to the low on-off capability of the transfer switch, it cannot be used to break the fault current. When used as a motor forward/reverse control, the power must be turned on after the motor has completely stopped rotating.

 

3) When the load power factor is low, the contact capacity of the transfer switch should be reduced.
